No one should be involved in suppressing the truth of what happened — which is precisely what brock admin has done since day one. Yes, this wasn't rape but it was inappropriate conduct nonetheless. Now we have interference from the faculty union and the arbitrator. When will this end? I believe in redemption for the accused, but with all this corruption at play, the only reasonable course of action is for Schimmelpennick to just resign.

If a teacher or anyone in autority sexually assults someone that trust them. They need to lose their job.
Your teaching students not to speak up, they dont matter.. The teacher does.
Do the right thing and let him go.

Do the right thing, your students and their peers have spoken. Your job as an educator is to create an environment where students want to learn, where they take away knowledge from the classroom, not fear of being harmed. You can’t teach at Brock now without your students focusing only on this, it impacts their education.

While I believe in anyone's right to redeem themselves, that redemption is not something earned within a year or so in the case of a professor known to have assaulted at least one student. Keeping Shemmelpenick on staff so soon after his known predaton on a student is both disrespectful to his victim(s) and a potential safety risk to further students.

I believe that sexual assault is the worse thing you can ever do to another person. This professor is not a man

And maybe look into the criminal act he has admitted vs. the administrative process that let him back in the classroom in the first place. He locked her in his office and assaulted her. It seem like (based on the public information) that this was not mere “harassment” as it has been portrayed.

The actions of David Schimmelpennick are almost as disgusting and inexcusable as the length of his ridiculous last name.
