I have had the pleasure of watching sculpture majors on the Atlanta campus do some amazing things. I would imagine that the students in Savannah who have the luxury of being able to major in Savannah and not have to transfer to our campus would appreciate keeping that facility open.

The boundary building lead me to my BFA in Sculpture and meeting one of the most influential professors of my entire life. That building literally changed my life BECAUSE of the Sculpture department. Getting rid of the building and program would be one of the worst things SCAD could do for its students. If for no other reason (although there are countless) sculpture is a fundamental in the arts and can improve any type of artist in a myriad of ways. It is crucial to have some experience in three dimensions to become a well rounded artist of any kind. It hurts my heart for future students that they would be denied the chance to learn such amazing skills, especially when SCAD is more than willing to keep the Equestrian department.

I can't believe and art and design school would plan to drop sculpture, one of the oldest and most beautiful art forms out there.

I graduated from SCAD in 2012 with a BFA in Fibers. I absolutely love the sculpture department, professors and vibe the atmosphere of the bldg. Sculpture is a fundamental necessity for aspiring artists, it would be a terrible loss to see the minor/building disappear from Savannah.

I recognize that SCAD is running a business, but they also proudly rock the title "art school." They pride themselves on their design programs, yes, but also on their amazing fine artists. How can you claim to be a school cultivating fine artists without one of the oldest art forms known to man? Get it together, Savannah, this is a foolish move.
