School-Based MHCs request $200 of Continuing Education/Licensure Fees per year

MHCs in the SBMH Program respectfully request that County Management grant their request for dedicated funding for staff who are on the front lines of providing needed mental health services for youth and families.

• SBMH MHCs bring in money every day, through billing Medicaid, but yet we are given no benefit for bringing in this money
• SBMH MHCs are constantly requesting funding for trainings, but they are rarely approved
• There is not a culture of continuing one's exploration of new clinical skills and ideas
• There is no incentive for MHCs to be licensed, and no incentive for non-licensed MHCs to pursue licensure
