Fast and reliable connections from Geneva to Basel were always the best example for me for international train transport.

Up to now for me as a German, Swiss trains were always a role model. Please keep them as such!

I regularly use the current connection Geneva-Basel with the change of train in Biel/Bienne and was shocked when I read about the future plans.

A direct connection between Basel and
Geneva would improve the connection to Germany very much.

I may add that also the direct service Geneva-Milan continues to deteriorate both in frequency and duration. The trains are often fully booked - more connections are required, not less

I am planning to use the train from Germany to Geneva for my trips to CERN because of the climate change. It would be making my train travel much more complicated. You should encourage train travel and not hinder it.

The CFF plans sum up to decouple Geneva, Switzerland's second largest city and a pole of the Arc Lemanique economical powerhouse from the other economical hub of the country, between Basel and Zürich.

As a working mom in Geneva, juggling professional commitments and family responsibilities in the Zurich area, your support is invaluable.

Geneva is one of the major cities in Switzerland. I do not understand how one can consider to disconnect it in such a way from the train system. That makes it difficult to motivate people to use trains instead of cars.

This would be an argument not to use public transport and railway when considering traveling to Germany. Fully against global effort of CO2 reduction.

My concern is about the adverse ecological impact of the plans, as well as the further deterioration of the ability to make use of travel time as quality time for work or other purposes.

Basel SBB one of the most important train station to the north should be reachable in good conditions.
