Tall Profile Vehicle Owners

I have a sprinter van for Personal use, but also have two more sprinter vans the we use to install marble and granite countertops in the Santa Barbara area, this ordinance is causing Pacific Stoneworks alot of issues.

If I cannot park my Sprinter van downtown or are town while shopping, then I'll just have to take my business dollars elsewhere ... like maybe big box in Goleta.

I have owned a Sprinter van for 6 years. This is what I drive. This ban not only forces me to sell my van but also devalues it as there will be a glut of Sprinter vans on the market in SB. How in the world does the hight of a vehicle inconvenience anyone. These vans fit in a normal parking stall. I think the city needs to rethink this one.

This is a huge inconvenience! My boyfriend and I use his Sprinter Van all the time!

I have commercial ford transit van, and this new law will cause me a major inconveniencing performing my work.

Having been a resident of Santa Barbara for 30 years, I know many business owners who use vans that are over this size for their business activity that would be drastically undermined by this ordinance. It needs to be thought out more clearly and business owners should be exempt from any such law

This ordinance should exclude Commercial Vehicles, at the very least.

I have a sprinter that I use for transportation for my family. We shop in town and need to park and go anywhere we want. This law is unfair for large families.

Many people have vans and large trucks they need to run their buisness. This makes no sense

I fear that this ordinance will harm some small business owners. Please do not pass.

There are locally owned businesses that need larger vehicles to operate and therefore be SUCCESSFUL (thereby generating revenue for the city.) How about an additional permit system that enables them to park as needed in order to do their work?

I am concerned about the restrictions on height as our commercial van that we utilize daily in Santa Barbara for our dog training company is obviously higher than 82". This greatly impacts our ability to work and park within the city limits. It seems unfair to lump commercial business vehicles into the RV ban when we pay and participate as business owners in the city. Please make an adjustment to accommodate this challenge.

It's public right of way, this is a joke, ban all parking or none at all.

I woke up one morning and the everyday driving vehicle I purchased 2 years prior basically became obsolete and "illegal" to operate (which means driving and parking) in the city where I live. There was a lack of public input and knowledge on the size dimensions until the ordinance was passed while the media coverage was poor. I ask for an amendment for the height limitations to become 9'6" !

The city should not be penalizing tax paying Santa Barbara residents who depend on the Sprinter vans for thier lifestyles and transportation.

If the city would just enforce the current laws and ordinances that already exist they would address the real issues that they are side stepping. But no, now they are punishing the hard work American citizens and Santa Barbarians who pay taxes and generate tax revenue for the city. And have for decades and generations. Come on enough is an enough!
