Tall Profile Vehicle Owners

This ordinance is designed to prevent people from living or vacationing in their vans but impacts everyone else. This is the wrong strategy and cowardly.

Not only are they discouraging local business but they're also discouraging the wonderful adventurers that come through and live here that they advertise to on a daily basis!

Not a well thought out law---width is certainly a bigger issue, but with height restrictions you are sweeping our Sprinter into the mess--

Hmmm! Appears to be a poorly thought out ordinance that has unintended consequences, I own a 2014 Sprinter (short wheel base model)

Sprinter Vans should be exempt from this parking ban, as they are important local -business working vehicles, bringing in revenue for Santa Barbara. It is absurd to expect a business, who pays rent in the city district, and needs a utilitarian vehicle to perform business services- to not be able to park their vehicle during business hours.

You'd be surprised how many trucks are over that height too

Movers, or any other working man or woman won't be able to park their vehicles not to mention travelers with rvs can't pull over to get a minute of rest.

We will stop visiting Santa Barbara if this passes. Our vehicle is shorter and narrower than a Toyota Tundra. We spend 5-10 thousand per year for Santa Barbara hotels and restaurants but like to visit the beach and many small restaurants with no off street parking.

I am Mercedes Spinter van owner. I use my van every day a s a primary vehicle for work and recreation. I am a successful professional. I earn a great living AND I vote. I find your oversized vehicle parking ordinance discriminatory. If passed, I will likely avoid patronizing Santa Barbara businesses. Seems like more time should be spent addressing and enforcing time limits for parking...this may help resolve the issue with homeless people setting up camp in old RVs...

I have been a Building Contractor and driven vans for my business vehicle for over 35 years here in Santa Barbara. It is vital to my business that I continue to be able to park on the streets of Santa Barbara. To be restricted to parking in City Parking Lots or on private property is just not an option for my business or me. Vehicles with Commercial License Plates need to be exempt from this ordinance.

This is ridiculous. I can see really big RV's becoming a problem, but Sprinter Vans??????

I use my vehicle for work and this ordinance restricts me from working in downtown Santa Barbara.

My work truck is over 82" tall(usually have in my driveway when not using)but leave it to the City of SB they would ticket me for the income revenue-the City employees need to think before they do things, now there going to have to repaint all the signs, oh ya I forgot its not outta of their pocket its outta of ours (the taxpayers)

Allow RVs on the street as well as tall vehicles

Fascist! Would be surprised to find out that the city council members that past this don't own Sprinter vans, but several have VW van. They happen to fit! Fascists!

I grew up in Isla Vista in the seventies. So now, I can't drive my 20' sprinter to go visit my uncle? More poor choices by politicians that don't think before they vote.

I'm a plumbing contractor, I live in San Roque and I have a Dodge Promaster Van that I use for my business, I can't believe they pass such an ordinance that would prevent me from parking in front of my own house

I have a modest sized Sprinter Van and am often doing work throughout town which involves parking on city streets. This ban will greatly impact my business and my ability to patronize some of the other business like restaurants and coffee houses.
