Please don't allow realtors to destroy co-ops as a viable form of home ownership.

This could seriously kill the Cooperative Market. People hose to live in Coop rather than Rental because they have a better control . This would kill i the market for apartments.

I will vote against any County Legislator that supports the "Intimidate Cooperative Boards" Law currently under consideration. This so called :fairness in Cooperative Ownership" law is nothing more than an attempt by the real estate brokerage industry to coerce cooperative boars into accepting applicants who may be ill suited to cooperative living.

I've been involved in Co-Ops and been on many Boards since 1983, This law is ridiculous, we have a right to protect our building and investment.

I do not support the 'Fairness in Cooperative Ownership Law' as it will restrict our board and managing agent to comply with the degree of specificity required to properly manage our property, protect our investment and personal safety.

I've been in real estate and I know how much real estate agents HATE coop boards that get in their way of making quick commissions. The RE people do not give a damn about the well being and stability of the coop communities; they go for the buck... I was one of them!

We are shareholders in a privately held corporation just like any of the hundreds of corporations in this county. The right of selection as to who becomes a shareholder is absolutely required for protecting our investment as well as our personal safety. I don't tell you how to run your government so don't try tell me how we should run ours. I oppose the fairness in cooperative ownership as it is not only intrusive in the operation of our business, but violates our rights as a privately held business.

We would prefer to be selective about the member we allow into our co ops. It helps us to protect our investment!!!

No. We as a community have all the right to maintain and make right decision for the families and individuals of High Meadow. The exact reason why I decided to buy and be a part of this cooperative community

No value or purpose for this proposed legislation , which will only create problems for peaceful cooperative and their tenants

This is great only for lawyers and real estate brokers and agents who want to make more money and close deals faster but terrible for residents of coops and their communities.

I oppose the fariness in cooperative ownership for being intrusive on coops'governing practices and completely unnecessary

This is NUTS. Been a coop board president for 10 years - we approved people that would not have been approved anywhere because we talked to them long and hard and trusted them. On the flip side we turned down a couple with $180,000 in credit card debt. Legislators we will watch you!!!
