The uniqueness of this area is the low density and beautiful topography. It was never meant for high density!?

The proposed development is not in keeping with the neighbourhood in question (nor West Vancouver in general) and should not be allowed to proceed.

I have lived in this area for over 35 years and I know a community when I see when and that is what is there today. When you talk about INFILL, you are using urban planning geek talk which has no value in building or preserving communities. Changing the density damages the community. Isn't the point of an OCP to make communities better as opposed to making profits for developers. You already approved a plan for the four acres. Why don't you stick to your plan -- what is driving expansion which affects the area negatively. Don't screw up a good thing. Embrace it and cherish it.

I support my friends in Eagle Harbour battling against the tide of development and densification that has now sadly landed on your doorsteps. We had 2 years of fighting against 14 inappropriate properties at the St Monica's site in a single family zoned area. Good luck, the Mayor, and three of her councillors will not be helpful in your plight

I do not support anything other than the original 10 homes previously approved. We are at 5698 Westport Road. We use both the Daffodil Lane entrance for our back driveway as well as our entrance on Westport Road. We are south of the proposed multi family Westport entrance and have difficulty at times entering Westport due to current traffic. Having an entry just south of the railway tracks when traffic is blind coming south under the tracks is going to be very risky for the occupants of the housing development.

While I am in favour of higher density developments in areas of west Vancouver which can support them, this plan is not appropriate for the area proposed. In fact I would suggest it is fundamentally ill aligned with many goals of the OCP. The area of eagle harbour is already constrained by the pattern of roadways and natural features. The popularity of beaches and trails deliver tremendous pressure already and parking and traffic safety issues already fundamentally compromised the health and safety of residents. Further development at this proposed level is highly problematic.

We moved to this quiet neighbourhood because it was exactly that - quiet!! Adding a development of townhomes will change the neighbourhood completely...no longer quiet and unassuming where the neighbours walk daily on the quiet streets, visit the quiet beach and meander on the quiet Seaview walkway!

We do not have the infrastructure necessary to support that level of additional population. Other areas such as Horseshoe Bay and the new Village up Cypress Bowl Road propose additional infrastructure to support the added density. It does not make sense to meet the goals of the OCP by adding additional density in neighborhoods that are not suited to it. Further, this area has moderately steep and heavily treed terrain and has a creek on one side and a wet land on the other. It also has significant covenants. The buildable area is not as much as it might seem. Where council might be trying to avoid monster homes on large lots, these lots are far more tricky to build on that lots in Ambleside. 10 homes on these lots is reasonable.

This area was designed as a single family neighbourhood and does not have the infrastructure to support a high density development. There is poor public transport and no retail in the area. Has anyone considered the extra load on the local school? This is the wrong development in the wrong place.

As a resident of the neighborhood on marine drive, I am strongly opposed to this development.
This is poorly planned and should not be approved
