The America I believe in listens to their citizens. This petition is the local tax paying citizens telling the government this development is unacceptable to them. There are already plenty of apartment complexes in the city of Lenexa! Please don’t let them build this!

Would devalue the area. City council needs to re evaluate this decision. This area needs to be kept as is. Would ruin the park serinity. Bad enough with the shooting range. Think it's time to get new members on the council.

I oppose more apartments in Lenexa. It is time for the city council to consider how homeowners, who pay taxes, feel. Apartments definitely lower property values when they become run down. I saw it happen in Merriam and in Shawnee.

This will disturb the solitude at Lake Lenexa and greatly increase an already overcrowded 83rd/87th street. Enough, already!

Please don't build any more apartments! Lenexa has enough. It will add too much traffic and attract a more transient population. We would rather see patio homes or small ranch homes for aging baby boomers.

I strongly oppose the building of apartments at WaterCrest Landing. It will increase traffic and hurt property values.

It is already too busy bear the lake regarding traffic. The environment would be significantly negatively impacted by the apartment complex.

I live in Falcon Ridge Villas just off Prairie Star Parkway and agree that apartment homes at this location would be a big negative to all. The homes in that area are well over half a million dollars and this would definitely be a detriment to their property values. We would be impacted by the additional traffic of several hundred additional cars per day along Prairie Star which is like a drag strip for many. I have seen a car blasting through my neighbors iron fence and stop just short of their home only after going over a 5 ft. burm and missing several 40 ft. Pine trees. This was on a sunny day in the middle of the afternoon. I was sitting at my kitchen table one evening and heard tires screeching and a teen ager ended up in the middle of Prairie Star green space just feet away from a large rock wall. We don't need these apartments. What is the occupancy levels of current apartments in Lenexa? I would suggest you meet with the Lenexa planning commission and your City Council representatives.
