I absolutely think this is a bad idea. It will attract those who can least afford it and who have much better use for their funfs!

We don't need a casino, we don't want a casino. It will bring crime and undesirable people to the county. The only "winner" are the owners of the casino.

This property should better support family values and local community welfare than corporate profit.

Gambling is socially destructive. There are no benefits.

Please do not approve this proposed plan. It will be detrimental to our economy and the mental and behavioral status of residents.

Please say no to the casino! It will not benefit our town in any way, and will only bring it down.

As a psychologist, I do not see an upside for the broad community of bringing in casino gambling. The only winners with this casino would be the owners, contractors and a limited number of people taking casino jobs, and not the community in which the casino is to be located. Central Pennsylvania is an exceptionally clean, healthy, low-crime place in which to live. Please don’t destroy what would never be replaced by bringing in crime, addiction, for the “gain” of a limited infusion of business.

I oppose the casino. Casinos have a reputation of brining crime into the local community including theft, drugs, and drink driving. As a local resident I do not support a casino in my community.

State College needs to figure out its demographics for the area before putting in a casino. Right now, the area near the mall is geared towards rural Americans. Big box discount stores and smaller discount stores such as Rural King, Big Lots, Ocean State Job Lots, Tractor Supply. The people that shop here can’t afford to be gambling. If you want to cater to the rich international students, the casino needs to be high end with big entertainment. I would like to see more family oriented stores/ activities in this town to encourage middle class growth. I see a major drug problem coming to this town and a casino won’t help. We don’t have enough hotels nearby to support the casino as a travel destination.

There are no good reasons to have a casino in Centre County. Ira Lubert has a Philadelphia address so apparently, he doesn't live in State College. It will mostly attract people with too much time on their hands and criminals, and people who are willing to travel just to gamble and party. Could create poverty for many. Lubert opened a casino in Valley Forge, PA (paid 5 million) and sold it 6 years later (for 280 million). He has no vested interest in State College so he probably doesn't care what happens to it. I'm completely against it for so many reasons.

A gambling casino will not revive the Nittany Mall. The entrance to the main concourse will have to be closed off to keep children out. And gamblers won't have money left to shop at nearby stores because they will have already thrown it down the gambling casino rat hole. The gambling casino industry corrupted the General Assembly and now Pandora's box is open and they are corrupting municipal governments all across the Commonwealth. NO institutional pickpocket in Centre County!

Casinos only benefit a very targeted group and cause addiction. This is not the type of business a college town should encourage
