Opposition to Casino in Centre County

We do not need an escalation of addiction, crime and some people wasting the limited resources they have on gambling. This impacts Mifflin County residents too.

Casinos have consistently brought high crime to areas where they have been introduced. I saw it happen in Lawrenceburg, IN where I lived from 1989 - 1992

There should not be casino within 50 miles radius of university park. We are educating future leaders, young students and our kids next to Sams Club and Walmart and other stores in the mall will discover the area and one by one, they will create habit and influenced by peers, that might lead to social and financial impact to all families, we might loose our young kids to this addiction. No casino

It is unconscionable to have a casino in a college town! Many young people are already addicted to sports gambling, do we need THIS on top of what is becoming a young people gambling epidemic?

A casino is not a good addition to our community. It comes with homelessness, addiction and will make our area not as safe.

Every student on campus will ruin their life and savings at this thing. And it will corrupt our community. I gamble myself online and DO NOT SUPPORT THIS .

Casino in State College? No. Just No! This is a family town and a college town. A casino is parasite on a community and brings with it crime, drugs, prostitution, and the scum of society. The people of the Centre Region have been sold out by the greed of local authorities and entrepreneurs. How low can you go? We've just found out.

Former casino worker, I have seen lives ruined by gambling. Entire pensions wiped out, fights, holidays cut short to feed an addition. This is not the jobs we want

Stop trying to ruin this town. It’s sad enough the amount of small businesses that have been run out for chains, the sky scrapers ruining the views we don’t need this too.

Let's help keep State College safe

I strongly oppose the casino to be built in Centre County, especially so close to a vulnerable portion of the population (College students at Penn State). The people involved with building casino have no business here. Leave us alone.

I adamantly oppose a casino opening in State College. Our community does not need the negative impacts that a casino brings, and our children should not have to grow up near such an organization.

Our area does not need more crime, more bancruptcy, and more suicides due to gambling addiction. You are targeting the college students to destroy their lives. As a Penn State graduate and area resident I strongly oppose this attempt to make money by destroying families

I oppose the Nittany Mall Casino because it is unquestionable that the presence of a casino in our community will only serve to create and feed gambling addiction, having severe negative impacts on people's financial security, family stability, and relationships. Casinos are parasites on communities, extracting wealth often from the most vulnerable individuals. We should not welcome such an establishment into our community.

Stop Predatory Gambling

We don't want the casino!!!! No one who actually lives here does! It only brings crime to the area, look at the statistics.

Please take all the games out of the convenient stores. They are a problem for us younger people and our children coming up. I have five children and I have a gambling addiction and it is ridiculous that I can’t even go to the store without seeing games not just one but five or six get the damn games Lebanon county.
