PETITION TO STOP THE INSTALLATION OF BIKE LANES ON AVIATION BOULEVARD.

We do not need to spend unnecessary tax dollars on an unnecessary project. This project will cost money not only in project costs but also in loss of revenue in local business and cause unnecessary traffic and hassle for local residents. Not only that, but the implied safety of installing a bike lane on a busy boulevard; change in traffic patterns causing loss of business, lowered safety in neighborhood, lowered property values as a result.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to PREVENT this Proposal for installation of bike lanes on Aviation, which will take parking and disallow turning on Aviation, listed in the Proposal by the Beach Cities Health District, as part of its Vitality City Initiative.
We need to seek alternatives routes for cyclists leave Aviation Boulevard as a vehicular commuter highway.

Traffic on Aviation is already a nightmare during rush hour. Taking away lanes for bikes is just going to make everyone late for work and push cars into the residential streets. Use some common sense.

this is going to hurt all the local shops. people wont be able to park anywhere anymore. stop wasting our tax dollars on empty bike lanes when we have potholes everywhere else.
