Much needed upgrade to ensure the kids have adequate fields to practice and stay competitive with other programs across the Capital District.

As a parent of a lacrosse player and coach of youth football in town in think this is long overdue. This town needs better facilities for our youth sports programs. We travel to many other towns and the facilities their programs have are in much better shape. When we host home games it is embarrassing. We have had to cancel many football practices due to standing water on the fields or rent the Afrims dome in Glenmont. The fields in this town don’t drain well and create unsafe conditions. The addition of a synthetic field and lights would be a great improvement to our town and would enable us to host tournaments for lacrosse, soccer and football. The only suggestion would be to build a full field for the ability of all sports at every level to use. Let’s make our town stand out

My family fully supports this addition to the Town Park. It would be very beneficial to our town's youth programs.

We have incredible lacrosse, soccer, and football youth programs that would tremendously benefit from additional time for kids to enjoy playing outside on a turf field.

Our family would all love to see the town support this incredible opportunity for building a multi use turf field for our youth sports programs. The town’s support and approval would provide our players with the ability to to participate in their favorite sports for an extended period of time, allowing them to grow as a team and individually as a player. The lacrosse season always needs to be cut short, or started later than anticipated or played elsewhere. The majority of the time the fields are under water and completely unusable and dangerous because of the uneven ground due to extensive water damage from the water not draining properly. This is unacceptable and makes it hard for our home teams to host other communities because there is no place for our players to host due to the frequently unplayable fields. I love the lighting idea! We have had to choose a parking lot and occasionally play on basketball courts under the lights just to hold a practice when the day light is at a minimal. Let’s support our Bethlehem community and youth sport teams by providing a lit multi use turf field for all to be proud of!

This is a great idea and will make our community even better. This is a simple investment that we can make in our children’s well-being that will reap dividends for the years to come.

My family supports this petition and would encourage the Town to consider building several larger fields to support the lacrosse club and other youth sports clubs/teams in our community. If money is a concern, the Town can easily monetize these fields with modest fees assessed to clubs that use them. This is a no-brainer - let's make it happen.

This would be a great improvement for the Town to undertake at the Elm Ave facility.

One micro field isnt going to be enough. Do it right and have enough made for multiple teams to use when the grass fields are under water (which is often).

A synthetic turf field would be great. When uve taken my kid for practices there are puddles of water al over the place - not very practice friendly and also means family really ends up sitting in the car to wait especially when you have other young children
