Bethlehem lacrosse players and coaches have worked hard to bring our program, both at the scholastic and recreational levels, into regional relevance. This addition of a turf field to the town park will only help our young players further development, as well as adding to our property values.

Build the field. Build two fields they are very serviceable and safe for the kids

It is time that the lacrosse club has settled fields. Not only do we deal with drainage and weather issues... once teams are cleared to play on field they are slippery and muddy all season! Most other sports have dedicated fields that are well cared for and safe. Those fields are maintained for whichever sport they are used for. Lacrosse is growing fast. This outlet of energy , fun and huge for mental health is enough in itself to approve turf! The town park is not lite at all for safety. It gets dark in fall and early spring ! Elementary kids do not get home from school until 4! It’s dark by 5 sometimes. Parents are using car lights for safety of kids! Lights are needed at all fields ASAP! This is important to many children and we’d love to keep it in our Town Park!

The installation of a synthetic turf field with lighting would greatly enhance the sporting programs that utilize the town park for practices and games. My children have played lacrosse and soccer. The wet field conditions have caused practice and game cancellations. The lack of lighting is dangerous.

Too many practices and games canceled due to swamped out fields. Surely Bethlehem can do better for our young athletes!
