Apartments are the wrong way to redevelop the area in question. Harrison Lane Elementary is already overcrowded and the crime rates are the highest in this area of Hurst. Another apartment complex would only exacerbate existing problems with our neighborhood.

This is not the long term solution to bring income to the city of Hurst. The city urgently needs to invest in projects that would attract gentrification. However, this proposal has the potential to cause further flight of property owners and improvers - the exact opposite of what this city needs.
I would urge city council to think about competing with the cities to our north in regards to urban planning and development. I'd rather see incentives towards unique businesses to our area.

Arlington was permanently negatively affected by too many apartment complexes. Don't let that happen to Hurst.

I do not think this is in the best interest for the City of Hurst. The way the City is going about it seems underhanded and unethical. I vote NO!

Overcrowding in schools. Traffic flow and congestion issues would increase. Local neighborhood would suffer privacy issues. Retail or neighborhood expansion would be more suitable here. Thank you.

Would rather the area be used for single, mid-income, families - not a good place for low-income multi-family apartments. Suggest looking further south, somewhere across Trinity Blvd.

I think senior living would be better MUCH better for ALL, If the rent is low seniors would have more left of their SS check for food etc. Plus they most likely wouldn't bring crime and have to have the police there all the time like the ones on Cavender. Plus they wouldn't have children to add to the already overloaded schools as well. Seems like a great solution for everyone!!!

In my opinion,I think we should really focus on the apartments that are currently being occupied. Get them to where they are housing and not flop rooms.

Need to get rid of the ones we have now
The ones on Pecan Street
That's why our crime rate is so high
They drain our resources away
They make our school taxes higher

Hurst Blvd at IH820 is already beyond designed capacity. No more housing till the infrastructure is fixed.
