The lighting of Hoylake & Meols for the festive period and throughout the year has been a huge success, brought about by enthusiasm, dedication and community spirit, and paid for by hard work and fundraising. Removing it on the pretence of possible tree maintenance, when in reality very little maintenance of trees, verges and weed control is actually carried out, is ridiculous. Leave this little bit of cheer for everyone to enjoy throughout the year.

We don’t need a local authority to tell us what to do. Just ignore them.

The lights are fantastic and need to remain - they give Hoylake that extra special delight that attracts people to the village. Don’t be short sighted and remove them. Leave them as they are for us all to enjoy.

Not necessary to remove yet. Too early to tend to trees and frost. Totally not needed to be done. Let there be joy Wirral council. Enough gloom around

Unprintable but suffice to say nothing surprises me about the current Labour contolled WBC and the corrupt pseudo politicians that have been in control for over 20 years........remember that in May.

The lights are a fantastic addition to Hoylake and lift morale as you walk or drive through. The community deserves them to stay after all the fundraising done to get them there
