Say No To Wirral Council Forcing Removal Of Hoylake Lights

Please keep the lights they make market st beautiful

I live in Hoylake and absolutely adore the pink lights. They make the village look so welcoming and it would be very sad, dreary and dull without them to brighten our winter nights. They really lift my spirits and make me proud of my local community.

Leave lights alone it is not as though the council provides anything these days. Hoylake has gradually been stripped of all its chrerished land marks over the years Hoylake baths, Winter gardens, tennis courts , beach facilities etc etc. Running the place down but enough is enough Hoylake people have pride

Such a shame that a beautiful thing like this is even considered to be removed.

I love these lights please don’t take them down

The whole pink light display costs less than £4 a day 36 Watts per hour per tree (45 trees)

These lights are a amazing achievement from a wonderful group of local people and their endless ya d work, and have been enjoyed by locals and more, it would be devastating to all to see them go.

No they should not take down the lights

I absolutely refuse to believe trees can’t be maintained with lights in place. Those lights not only provide beauty and joy to all on a daily basis, they’ve become a symbol of Hoylake’s fantastic community spirit and pride in our little town. Use your common sense and leave our lights alone!

Absurd decision... when has anyone from the council tended trees on a regular basis in Hoylake? Hoylake and Meols in bloom more like... time for a re-think councillors I think

The pink lights look amazing and act as a great daily reminder of what a community can achieve when they all pull together for a common goal.

These lights are really pleasing to the eye on cold dark nights.Whats wrong with the council do they no want to improve the Wirral?

If the Coucil want to attract funding into schemes in Hoylake it would make sense to have tangible evidence of the thriving community and volunteers who invest time and effort into Hoylake.

Keep the lights it makes everyone feel happy The shops do better it puts a smile on faces it's make the whole town look and feel alive

This is what sets Hoylake and Meols apart from the rest of the Wirral! It’s doing no harm whatsoever!!!!

Leave the pink lights on the trees please. Hoylake looks beautiful, it’s a visual display of the community working together to make it lovely for everyone to enjoy

Hello we live in Meols and really lovely to see the lights after all tge hard work of the volunteers raising money and putting them up. They are a real asset to the area and friends whom live our of the area have commented how wonderful they are

just been saying how lovely and unique the trees look another shortsighted decision to go with destroying royden park I,e, parking

It makes hoylake beautiful all year round.
