These lights really do brighten up the main stretch of Market street, with their cheery pink glow I think it’s so pretty, and should be there to make a community and people passing through feel warm with the twinkle of lights

I can't see a problem with the lights. They brighten up what are otherwise miserable evenings.

The trees need minimal attention at this time of year so why can't they stay. Even if the trees do need some attention during the year it can't be much and a small amount of lights can't really disrupt any pruning attention etc just move them out of the way

So volunteers give up lots of time and effort into making the village look beautiful & the council do this?! Ridiculous.

In these cash strapped times of Conservative Government austerity perhaps an offer to pay our Labour controlled local authority for the electricity used for the blossom tree lights that bring so much to Hoylake would be politically and financially expedient.

Everyone loves the lights. They make Hoylake sparkle. Why destroy happiness?! Parking meters in local parks and now this?! Leave people's small pleasures alone. No need!

At this dark and gloomy time of year they lights are a wonderful sight. As someone who struggles with depression it cheers me up to see them.

The lights are a fantastic asset to the area they evoke a lot of happiness and joy to the area. It would be a travesty to remove them.

Jesus Christ WBC why do have to ruin every bit of joy we have! Seriously we have funded these lights ourselves! Maybe stop paying money on hideous consultants & leave our lights up!
