The lights transform Hoylake, why would the council want to remove such an obvious asset! Sometimes I dispair with the council.

These lights have cheered me up so much everytime I've seen them. In todays world with all its tragedy and heartache why oh why do you have to be so petty. Leave Hoylake Lights alone and spread a little light and love instead of constant misery.

I've lived in Hoylake for over 30 years and never noticed any council work being done on the trees -so it seems a strange reason for removing the lights !

Absolutely ridiculous. My wife and I actually thought they might have been pink for breast cancer awareness. Maybe that's the way forward. Killjoy councils. Do one !!!!
