Please leave the the beautiful pink lights up in Hoylake. They make everyone smile, lift people’s spirit and isn't that a good thing in this gloomy winter ! Happy New Year!

It would be madness to remove something that has been so admired by so many. For what good reason?

WBC do away with anything that provides fun to the community including all the outdoor swimming pools that Wirral enjoyed prior to 1990.

These lights are beautiful and they do brighten up your day. They have been well placed and the people who put them up did a great job. They are a credit to the village

The lights are a great addition to Hoylake - it would be a shame and a waste of resources to take them down!

Hoylake looks so pretty and lifts the gloom of the January and February months when the weather is cold and the joy of Christmas is over.

Claiming that the lights we bought and paid for ourselves need to come down so you can maintain the trees when you don’t maintain the trees is outrageous!

Taking these beautiful lights down is disgraceful. What harm are they doing? They make such a difference to Hoylake, they were provided after huge efforts to raise money. They must stay.

The trees brighton up the town and i have never seen the trees being trimmed in the 7yrs i have been here. The council would do better to appreciate the people who do look after the towns foilage as they dont,
