I am a longtime Burlington resident of over 50 years. I saw what they did To the conservation land in wheeler road where “the pits” was which is now arboretum at seven springs! That should NOT of been allowed to be built as that is conervarion land as well this would be so horrible to Burlington and all the wild life and traffic would’ve even more a nightmare. If this goes through lots of people will be moving out of this town. Please say no to this.

My suggestion is to work with the town of Bedford and do a cooperative senior housing on the landlocked parcel

I live on Mountain Rd and walk the nature treacle that goes by the property. There is a plethora of wildlife that would be impacted. Plus would create additional congestion for travel

If the Select Board truly wishes to increase affordable housing for seniors, it should work on finding a developer for the Rogers Piano property to include a 40B component. Sadly, the prior proposal for this property was arguably mishandled, and the former proponent may not be interested in trying again. However, the property itself has many advantages, including being close to Town offices, including the Council on Aging and the Town Library, is a very active location quite close to the recreation facilities and shops at Simon Park, doesn't require navigating steep roads, particularly during the winter, and is close to the Town Center. I suspect that this is something that most people in town could support with enthusiasm.

There was another of these housing developments set to be built to let off onto Peach Orchard Road. The conclusion was that it doesn't add to Burlington and increases congestion of traffic and space. It's abutting conservation land and you cannot have that many people that close to conservation land without impact on it. Please work to protect nature and the nature of our town.
