The addition of another public house in the enclosed vicinity will increase noise pollution, antisocial behaviour and acts of vandalism in the town centre. There are plenty of other public houses in the high street which would not encourage the loitering around in the local car park or residential areas.

A wetherspoon pub will cause trouble, crime and noise pollution and is totally out of character for Dorking. The quality of food is poor, encourages poor nutrition and obesity. It will cause valuable businesses to close, affect other good quality pubs that make Dorking special and add to the town's character and happiness of residents. Please don't build a wetherspoon in Dorking- I moved from red hill to Dorking to get away from the unpleasantness that wetherspoon creates.

The shops you are intending to close are vital for many local mums and families. Beatitude serve a service no other can by not only helping families and those with limited resources but also a social safe place and listening ear, this is vital in todays society. Burgandy and Black is a wonderful meeting point for families and other groups and support lical produce. They are also the only coffee shop wheelchairs can access and be able to move and feel welcome . There are many empty sites in Dorking and more being empty in next few months. If you care about your local community, families, disabled and vulnerable you will not allow these shops to close and instead look at other empty premises. A place like weatherspoon on top of the restaurant further up will also affect M&s and shops left there as there will be no footfall except those using food outlets/pub that people have no reason to enter st Martin's walk.

Calli’s corner is one of my close friends business , that has a space for kids creativity to show why put a pubs there when there’s like 5 in dorking already?!

Dorking is a lovely town and what makes it so are the individual shops and cafes. We don't want a whether spoons and we don't need one, it will degrade the town massively.

I think this is exactly the sort of development we should NOT have in Dorking. It will attract the "wrong" sort of People to it. There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants here and it will involve knocking down a number of existing shops.

A weatherspoons to this area would have a detrimental effect on the community. Beatitudes is a safe heaven for so many people in the community and asset for young families in this town. Not to mention people that live in and around the square would have huge disruption. Look somewhere else please!!!!

We are trying to make the Dorking a desirable place to visit. Local market town, local shops and great local produce. Not a generic weatherspoons place. Got loads of pubs not needed
