Our students deserve better than to lose 20% of their school year to busy work. No more digital Wednesdays!

My 6th grader has special needs. I am not a special needs teacher. It’s too much for special needs children to virtual school. They need to be in school!! All children need to be in school 5 days/week, full days without masks! All the restrictions are hurting our children mentally! Why should they suffer?

I do not believe the district has presented a strong enough academic, social or business case made to support this proposal. The presentation(s) and data lacked a holistic approach...
Support All Students-Why present data for evidence of latin honors growth only but no evidence for the rest of the district? Academia has an abundance of data from many platforms of learning...Google it!
Faculty & Staff-Where are the faculty/staff survey results? A holistic approach would certainly make public this data & comments.
Taxpayer-The district was in financial ruin just a short time ago. There were considerations to cut student programming; proposed early retirements and employment reductions; delay building improvements (again); etc. Despite years of misspending the taxpayer came through to get GASD back to par. Despite the (smug) comment from the board member at the last meeting we are fully aware what our taxes pay for.
If the intent of the survey was to gain data points, why make the proposal? Lack of evidence and a responsible business case leads me to the conclude we lack a holistic approach to this proposal and our students need to be back to school 5-days a week.

I have not been privileged to one justification, piece of evidence, or research-based proposal that justifies a reduction of my child’s time with their teacher by twenty percent. Please show me how this proposal will advance my child’s learning and preparedness.
