Say No To Traton Homes' Rezoning Proposal

Do not build! This is not what the residents of West Cobb want!

I am against the rezoning to allow more homes per acre.

Enough traffic already. Come to Bob Cox road at 7:30 and 5:30 any day of the week. Too many houses in such a small area

Stop the building!! West Cobb is beautiful b/c of the green space, so quit tearing it down!!

Plopping what is basically an apartment complex in the middle of single family residences doesn't fit the area.

Resident of Fallwood subdivision. The intersection of Gordon Combs and Burnt Hickory is already a nightmare. There are more than enough senior communities in Cobb County...no need for another one, and certainly not on land surrounded by single-family neighborhoods that are already fighting to keep their property values up.

At times I have to wait 5 to 10 min. to make a left turn on to Burnt Hickory from Bob Cox. Any new traffic will be a burden on the area. This development will disturb the nature of this area.

I strongly object to the re-zoning!

This is an extremely busy and dangerous area already. This is pure greed and foolish

Resident of this area. This intersection is already extremely busy and difficult to make a turn. Burnt Hickory Rd backs up past this point every morning already all the way to Barrett Pkwy. Also, we have several senior living communities in close proximity... None of which are at capacity.

This project is not similar to other neighborhood developments around it and would not enhance the community or schools in the area.

This intersection at Burnt Hickory, Bob Cox and Gordon Combs is so dangerous already. Increasing the number of houses in the area will result in fatalities and flooding.

There is no reason to rezone to build a senior community. The only thing rezoning does is allow for up to 5 homes per acre which is a big concern. Also, there does not seem to be any information about how Cobb County enforces the senior designation. While the plan has been submitted, there is a "minor change" rule that allows for changes without notice. There is no definition of "minor change". I just don't think Burnt Hickory or Bob Cox Road can handle the extra traffic. We already need a light. The increased traffic from the new subdivision on Bob Cox and the increased traffic from this subdivision would overload an already dangerous intersection. I do think Traton Homes has worked hard to consider the input from neighboring homeowners, but I don't feel the increased density is appropriate for the existing homeowners or the seniors who would be living in the neighborhood.
