Say No To Traton Homes' Rezoning Proposal

Way too congested already. Developers should be responsible for adding additional lanes and traffic lighting if they want to build new residences. But also I disagree with adjusting the zoning laws in place.

Zoning is set for a reason and this proposal doesn't fit the area. There are no similar projects along Brunt Hickory Road except near major roads like Dallas Highway. They want to change the zoning for one reason. Money. Revenue from all the permits and payment from the builder. Instead of creating more traffic at a dangerous intersection why not fix 2 dangerous intersections on Burnt Hickory. Use this property to connect Bob Cox and Gordon Combs and put a light there. Oh wait that would make the county spend money instead of receive it. Don't be fooled there is one reason for the rezoning. Money in there pocket. VOTE NO.

This is spot zoning and doesn't fit with existing development in the area.

We feel that with the volume of traffic already on BurntHickory Rd. ... We DO NOT need this in our neighborhood !!! ( Also, there has been numerous traffic accidents at that intersection ).

I oppose the re zoning of 2821 Burnthickory Rd. Way to many wrecks already. A Residential Senior housing with the added traffic to what we already will cause extremely hazardous driving conditions.

Applicant says homes will cost about 400k. How many seniors will or can afford to spend this much on their retirement home? This plan looks like just another high end subdivision disguised as an RSL. The density is out of character for the area. Two lane Burnt Hickory Rd. will have a hard time handling the the traffic from the subdivision.

I oppose the rezoning of 2821 Burnt Hickory Road. The developer has requested variances which would allow them to put the condos many feet closer to my property than is legal. This overdevelopment will destroy the beauty and quiet of our great neighborhood. The traffic is unbearable now and many wrecks have happened at the intersections next to the property.

I strongly object to this project/rezoning and any future ones that may lie ahead like this. This is not the area for this proposal and does not align with how this area. As many have already stated, we already have major traffic issues in this area due to the current number of people here and that travel through (and no, a traffic light is not going to solve the issue) as well as the issues it will bring with the already challenged and over crowded school system. This would also reduce the values of all the homes around it and in the immediate area; projects should not degrade areas they are moving to but should enhance them, which this does not. This is a single family/low density housing area all throughout this area so why would we accept anything else. If this builder wants to build like they are in the city, then move to the city and do it. Stop over developing West Cobb!

This would be an absurd move all around. $400k senior living homes? Bob Cox already has 50+ homes going in.. let that settle for 5yrs and then review this again.. vote No!

Do not mess with the traffic flow. Things are working just fine. Send your traffic some other direction.
