Unfortunately, money speaks louder than nature, so we must all do our best to protect this natural habitat.

totally inappropriate develoment in a sensitive enviromental area. It will set a dangerous precedent going forward. Access is by bridleways and the additional traffic unacceptable.

Where is the new road going to go to access this development? Will the lanes and countryside be desecrated for this access? Having lived in these lanes for 30 years and walked them most days of them 30 years, I know the impact just a few extra cars would make. If you do permit this development, then everyone knows, it will not stop until there is nothing natural or beautiful left. Please don't ruin so many peoples interests hobbies and health for the financial gain of a few people.

Having lived in Farnham for 35 years, I would wholeheartedly like to see some major improvements to roads, pavements and traffic control before we add to the already cumbersome and increasingly dangerous town centre. Let's not destroy what was a beautiful, bustling and community spirited market town.

Perhaps Mr. Ricketts would like to sit on the fence on this one, just as he did when he was Major instead of giving his full backing to the objections for development of The Hopfields!! Personally I find it an appalling proposal which will perpetuate the cancerous trend of allowing building on basically "people's back gardens" - there are 2 such applications at the moment in the Castle Field area Pilgrims Way and now the stables. In response to Debbie's comments that its not a proposal to build on the Deep Park is really irrelevant - it is an unncessary "get richer" scheme that should be stopped.

Thank you for your comment Debbie. With all due respect we don’t feel that our petition is misleading. This is the Old Deer park, hence the name Old Park Lane, Middle Old Park and Upper Old park. Your Stables is Old Park Stables and you are privileged to be surrounded by beautiful and ancient woodland, ponds, fields and hedgerows teeming with wildlife. This land was the medieval Deer Park, it was once a hunting ground and is still to this day inhabited with an abundance of Deer. This was known as The Great Park to the west and was a Deer park owned by the Bishops of Winchester. This park is still an area of outstanding natural beauty and is open to be enjoyed by the public via the public footpaths and bridle ways that run through it. Today we spoke with some metal detectors enthusiasts on the lane, who only last month found a Tudor Rose Plaque in the fields in this very park, which is now in The Winchester Museum. This area is rich in history as well as wildlife that needs protection and we feel your development will set a dangerous precedent for the gradual takeover of Farnham’s natural heritage.
The access to your proposed 9 house development is inarguably via a narrow unmade lane/bridle path which is flanked by ancient hedgerows and that is enjoyed by ramblers, horse riders, cyclists and families all year round. Middle Old Park Lane is now verging on impassable due to the water that flows directly off your fields, it is flooded around 9 months a year and walkers have to either wade through it up to their knees, at it’s worse, or they are forced trample down the fence and walk through your private field.
Our questions to you are: Where will all the water and sewage drain into and through what means from these proposed houses? Will each dwelling have a septic tank? How can you possibly state that 9 large family houses will not significantly add to the traffic on Old Park Lane and onto Castle Street in the Morning? Where will all the contamination from the

THIS PETiTION is deliberately mis-leading. We are NOT proposing to build on a "Deer Park" or a "Field" . It is a Brownfield Site of over 100 years !!!! Please read the planning application for clarification or E mail me for further information. Thank you.

The Deer Park once covered the land all the way to Windsor. There is so precious little of it left and I don't think anyone with any emotional intelligence could argue that we need 9 more over-priced houses in this area more than we need to retain the natural habitat for our children and their children. Being immersed in nature is the most effective and humanising antidote to the ever increasing stresses of every day demands. We can't put a value on preserving that antidote, but preserving it is a no brainer.

Horse riders are running out of safe places to hack thanks to people wanting to build everywhere! Many of my hacking areas have been cut off meaning I have to travel on dangerous roads where people in cars couldn't care less about spooking your horse and having a cheap laugh. We should preserve all the land that is left for people and animals to enjoy!
