Where are the extra school places? Where are the extra play spaces for the young? Where are the extra doctors and nurses to serve the extra people? Where are the extra shops to serve the new residents? Who will pay for the extra deterioration of the local amenities, like the roads? And where are our elected represented officials? Farnham is being over-developed for the advantage of the builders and their directors, not for the people of Farnham.

Farnham needs a bypass first, there's too much traffic in the town already.

The local is not suitable to sustain this application.

This proposal to build 9 new houses within the old medieval deer park is completely inappropriate and should be refused by the Planning Authority.

This is a very beautiful stretch of countryside with magnificent country walks near major conurbations. It would be a very real loss of a precious local amenity.

There is absolutley no need for this building. The idea of affordable housing is utterly laughable bordering on the disgusting. If you are truly interested in that then build only that. This is nothing but the continued rape of the land for money. I can't even be bothered to talk about the total lack of infrastructure, the tiny branch train station, etc. What's the point, cause the only reason to build is to line someones pockets not to make anyone elses life better.

Leave our parks alone

Don't let a few greedy people gradually take away our beautiful countryside and destory what is left of the natural environment for our wildlife. Also, traffic is already a nightmare in Folly Hill, Upper Hale and Castle Street. The whole area will grind to a hault in the end!

Once the developers get a foot in Farnham park that will set a precedence and the whole park will end up as a housing estate. It's only the developers who will benefit (as usual).

(Local Resident) I am not ignorant to Waverley's need for affordable housing and further residential housing stock. However, plans for 100+ homes in the middle of Farnham were already turned down in recent years due to traffic concerns. Why is this proposed development any different? This site is not suitable for 100+ houses (the site couldn't fit any more than 50 max), and the road access / infrastructure is simply not in place to cope, compared with better connected areas such as the south of Farnham. Of course, given the wealth of those living in the south of Farnham, they would be more than happy to see 'affordable homes' built far away from their affluent residences! The developer proposes to give a small field of green space to Surrey Wildlife Trust and build a roundabout - yet the previous development that was cancelled proposed providing the town with a cinema, new town square, a planted walk to the riverside, restaurants and more! In sharp contrast, this new development proposal offers the community nothing, but the developer will create 50-60 million pounds worth of housing stock to sell, on streets with names like 'Castle View'! In fact, their 'green space' gift is crossed by national grid power lines, and is a flood bowl - marshy for much of the year (so the developer cannot build on it without a great deal of difficulty!). This development will increase pressure on Farnham's treasured natural royal deer park which is already flanked on most sides by residential housing. Open green space (not just the park land, but rolling fields & woods) are a key component of the character of the local area, and the reason why so many have moved here and fallen in love with this location. Approving this project puts pressure for new development on the few fields that remain to the south of it. Before long, Upper Hale & Folly Hill will lose any sense of the village that once was, and will simply be yet another sprawling surburb, this time joining Farnham to Aldershot,

this could set a dangerous precedent in building on green fields in and around Farnham. Consideration should be given for the environmental impact and the impact on already congested roads into Farnham.

The additional motor traffic on the narrow St Swithun's way, and hence into the town via a dangerous T junction, the piecemeal urbanisation of our historic green spaces and vistas (this is almost contiguous with the 120 house screening opinion SO/2015/0011, all underpin my support for the objection.

Another attack on Farnham's green space. This development must not be allowed to proceed in this area of ancient woodland and outstanding beauty.

The Deer Park is a very important part of Farnham's history and St Swithuns Way an important long distance route, they must not be destroyed by building. It will also set a dangerous precedent and building will spread further in this beautiful area. We already have 120 houses being built on the historic hop fields which the infrastructure will struggle to cope with.

Farnham town has contributed to providing housing ,this beautiful old park must be preserved to provide breathing space and maintain our health and well-being for future generations to enjoy as well.

This area of our countryside should not be built on. There is not the capacity in the local infrastracture to sustain such a large building development. Local facilities would be overwhelmed.
