Say NO to the proposed Casino in Forest Hill, Richmond VA

I vote NO to the proposed casino.

This area cannot support the influx of cars and people to this area. Traffic coming from the north may try to use Parham Road and it is already over capacity during morning and evening rush hour. Please choose another spot for this project.

I am strongly against the casino being built in the Forest Hill area. This greatly troubles me as someone who just moved back to the area (my hometown) with the hopes of putting permanent roots for my family in District 4. This will negatively impact homeowners' value and will have significant socioeconomic and environmental consequences that have largely gone unaddressed by the Council.

Keep the casino out of Richmond!!

This is a neighborhood killer, devalue homes and ecological nightmare. How dare you not even involve the citizens of the city

I am in the 9th district bordering on the 4th, frequently traveling, shopping, etc. along Forest Hill, Jahnke, and environs. I am against the Bally proposal. It is not a good fit for the area.

I would like to voice my family’s opposition to the proposed Bally’s Casino development in the Stratford Hills area. This development would reverse the potential of the Forest Hill Avenue Improvement Project currently under construction. The 3 mostly vacant shopping centers on Forest Hill in this area should be evidence enough that behemoth commercial development is bad for our community and this neighborhood. I don’t think I can live next to the entrance to a development designed to steal from the poor while spewing pollution into our neighborhood and park system. Please represent me, and I am guessing most of our neighbors, by fighting against this project.

I am completely opposed to the proposed site for the Bally casino. It will have a negative impact on traffic, wetlands, and property values.

I am vehemently opposed to the casino development in the 4th District, off of Forest Hill Ave. It will do unnecessary damage to wetlands, contribute to increased traffic congestion and elevated co2 levels levels in the area, increase problem gambling in Richmond, and is not the kind of economic development that would be most beneficial to the area. We have a terrific ‘indie’ culture here in Richmond; let’s build on that by helping our unique restaurants, music venues and retail establishments recover from the economic devastation of the pandemic. Let’s make Richmond an innovation hub where companies want to locate headquarters because of our highly educated and diverse workforce.

This is a bad idea on so many levels. Traffic, infrastructure, environmental impact, drunk driving on Chippenham, proximity to major highway (95), did i say drunkdriving??

The residents of this neighborhood do not want this casino. It s not a good location.

Forest Hill and Chippenham area cannot handle the increased traffic. Also, the environmental (wetland) and social (increased crime) is detrimental and statistically probable. Don’t ruin the “Rivah” city.

This is a horrible idea for the city and for wildlife.
