My family and I are concerned with the negative effects of a casino to our neighborhood...organized crime, traffic, light pollution, noise, other associated infrastructures like hotels etc. We take pride in living in Westover Hills as a family-friendly community. I would like to express my family’s strong opposition for a casino within our community.
I acknowledge that a casino will bring in significant revenue to the city. But it needs to be in an area away from large residential neighborhoods.

A casino is not appropriate in a designated residential neighborhood with a wetlands designation. The traffic on Forest Hill Avenue and businesses along the route will suffer. Say No! Not in my front yard!

I come from New Orleans East near many casinos in the city and those in Biloxi. For the survival of the business and for the survival of the neighborhoods BOTH, such enterprises need to be situated along major interstates near other tourist attractions like the convention center, etc.

I am strongly opposed to the proposal for a Casino to be constructed in the Stratford Hills neighborhood along Forest Hill Ave. The entrance from Forest Hill Avenue would make an already dangerous interchange more congested and the habitat destruction the proposal would cause devastation to our wildlife, and would ruin the appeal of this currently thriving neighborhood and area for future growth and new residents.

this is not the best location on the list. Closer to 95 could better handle the traffic. This is a highly sought after City of Richmond residential neighborhood.
A large casino could only bring trouble on multiple fronts to the folks who call this neighborhood home.

The proposal to put a business this size in a suburban neighborhood is ludicrous. The sewers cannot handle it, the roads cannot handle it and the neighbors well vehemently oppose it. The site isnot zoned for commercial and is composed of wetlands. The Powhite creek is a watershed for the James River. The light pollution would be untenable.

As a resident of Oxford and very close to this Stratford Hills casino location, I am concerned about the impact on Forest Hill traffic, already a mess, crime, and the destruction of natural habitat. No casino here.

A casino in this area is absurd. Too close to residential homes, schools, James River Park System. The added traffic burden would be disastrous.
