This is an established residential area. We do not need the added traffic congestion or other problems that follow casinos. Not only will property values drop in the city, but also in Chesterfield. Casinos should not be placed in the middle of residential communities.

I am not a fan of adding a casino anywhere in Richmond. They will change the whole dynamic of our beautiful city. If you don’t believe it, visit Atlantic City for a few days!!

Wildlife, especially birds are the dearest thing to my heart. I also live in the neighborhood that is directly adjacent to this parcel. When we moved here 13 years ago, part of the charm of this neighborhood was the trees, the wildlife and the fact that we felt like we lived in the woods, but are actually within city limits. A casino directly abutting our neighborhood will ruin that feeling. Also concerned about light pollution, potential unsavory characters being able to just walk into our neighborhood, the traffic (Forest Hill is already a mess) and the fact that I have lived several places with casinos and they always fail after a couple of years. They are NEVER the money makers they are expected to be. Why destroy wetlands and a forested area for buildings that will eventually be vacant? Wildlife needs a place to live too. Thanks for reading my rant.

South side is in the midst of a building explosion and increase in property taxes without proper roads and parking. This would add killing pressure to an overburdened part of the city

Traffic is already too congested in the area and you have a lot of residents that will see their property values drop with a casino opening. People move to this area to be in the city and to be closer to nature.

This casino proposal in Forest Hill is a horrible idea and must be stopped. There is no reason to put a casino near so many neighborhoods. There is a long list of reasons but I feel that everyone living near something like that would see a lot of negative changes! Please put this somewhere else!

The roads in this area are already congested. High rates of construction are pushing wildlife out of their natural habitat. The construction of a casino will only exacerbate current problems and create new ones.
