The Munsonhurst building project is being forced on the residents of the Borough with no regard for them or the environmentally sensitive area in which it is to be built. Up to 565 units crammed into 15 acres of a 71 acre parcel surrounded by wetlands and endangered species. There are so many issues with this project. With a possible 565 units will more police be needed? How about the purchase of an expensive ladder truck to reach the tops of these new buildings? Larger class sizes in your school? Higher taxes? The builder specializes in Section 8 housing in Paterson and promised to employ armed guards. Does this sound like a complex that you want coming to your community? Please sign and let our town officials know that you don't want this project happening in our town. There is an open public hearing at the next Planning Board meeting on 11/1 and an open public hearing at the Town Council meeting on 11/14. Be there to voice your opinion.

Adding low income housing is NOT a step toward cleaning up the amazing community of Franklin. Since moving here I've met many wonderful people. Everyone wants to see the area get better not worse, which will happen if this project goes through. Peace.

That area is already a traffic nightmare and will only kill the commute on 23 north from Stockholm as well as over tax our police and emergency services.

This is deeply concerning on all points mentioned above. Our police department is already working so hard to keep the influx of drugs under control and this will be an additional strain on the department and our town, my home town and my childrens home town. The Section 8 factor is so ominous. I'm all about helping someone who is down on their luck but that's not what this will be. This is a developer who will make his money off the state. It's a sure thing for the developer. Not so much for the residents of Franklin Borough.

I did not move to Franklin to get closer to developments like this. This has no place in our town and is highly questionable in the approval process.

Progress and growth are bound to happen to any town and Franklin is bursting at the seams of growth we do not need a new mini Mart, New fast food joint, a new anything and certainly Do Not want or need this development ,this will not only effect Franklin but Ogdensburg,Sparta,Vernon,Hamburg,so they should be concerned also .Have they thought about all these new people needing services like garbage, Emergency EMTS,Water are they gonna dig New wells and strain our aquifers a lot of Franklin is well supplied water.Franklin residents can literally not afford what will come with this development .

If you google this developer, this is not someone we want coming into Franklin. We have enormous th issues with drugs and crime. Franklin School has small class sizes, this is great for our kids. If you take the time to go to Education week to observe the children, you will understand why we do not need larger class size. Please, Silk City, leave Franklin alone!
