Say 'NO' to the Hazelwalls Farm Development in Uttoxeter

Redevelop the old JCB site before you spread further out and consider how you can regenerate the town centre with shops other than charity

We are a small town this development is too large and needs to be re thought!!

The access routes proposed for this new development are not at all suitable and will make traffic an absolute nightmare for the residents on the current estate.Questions need to be raised with the highways agency and I do not understand why the developers have been able to bypass the environmental assessment when the greenfield land it will be built on is habitat to numerous species of wildlife,including bats and badgers.I do not understand why uttoxeter is in need of 1000+ extra houses,or how the local schools and doctors surgeries will cope.Another huge concern,hazelwalls has been prone to flooding in the past and the extra surface water and proposed balancing ponds are a big worry for many.

We most def do not need more houses!! We need shops first this town is slowly becoming a ghost town the council and its merry men only interested in houses (more money for them) instead should be concentrating on lowering the rent on shops to get them filled!! It's a shocking town

surely houses can be built on brown field sites without destroying the countryside further

we live in beautiful countryside with wildlife to match so please don't destroy the quality of life on our doorstep.

The Stafford road is already jammed with traffic so no more thank you.

This scheme should be stopped - the current infrastructure of Uttoxeter could not cope with a development of this size and the environmental impact is far too great by building on greenbelt land. Use the former JCB site instead. :-(

There is no need for additional housing developments in Uttoxeter, especially with a current development about to go ahead on another GREEN FIELD site in Uttoxeter.

The use of greenfield sites with consequent environmental impact is deplorable. The likelihood of local jobs to sustain the proposed increase in population is negligible - so more commuter traffic and a further blow to any aims of a low carbon economy. Proposed roads through the estate will make a "rat run" inevitable and the impact on wildlife including foxes, badgers etc will be disastrous (assuming they don't mysteriously end up as "Road Kill"). Any pretence that this is a local plan for Uttoxeter residents is ludicrous - the existence of action groups and petitions such as this make this an obvious non-starter. This is Burton residents yet again determining what happens in Uttoxeter - shameful!

This whole development is an absolutely ridiculous idea and cannot be allowed to go ahead. I currently live on Foxglove Ave which will become the main road through thus turning this peaceful, safe FAMILY area into a dangerous, noisy disaster. Furthermore we do not have the infrastructure to support such a ludicrous scheme.

This is a terrible location for new housing. Poor and potentially dangerous access routes and huge pressure on the roads which are already a nightmare in the mornings! I don't agree with the need for new housing anywhere in Uttoxeter, there are so many houses that remain unsold. There are also no jobs in the town to support all the people who will live in these new houses. Uttoxeter will turn into a commuter town and lose what's left of it's 'market town' charm.

This is a poor choice for a housing development due to the poor infrastructure and access routes. In addition there will be an increased risk of flooding on the existing housing development downstream.

The potentially dangerous access, inadequate transport and lacking general infrastructure in this area have to make it a poor choice for the location of any extra houses to be built in and around Uttoxeter.

No to Hazelwalls Farm due to infrastructure of the roads. Gridlock now on a school run
