Say 'NO' to the Hazelwalls Development, Uttoxeter

The town of Uttoxeter will not have the medical or educational capacity to cope with the increased numbers of people to the area. The approved developments Land off West of Uttoxeter where 700 houses are to be built under planning application P/2014/00883 and the Old JCB site where 257 houses are to be built will also use the existing services and there are currently only plans to build an additional primary school. The additional building of 429 homes in addition to the 957 homes at the other two approved residential building sites will put a strain on local services with a total of 1,386 homes.

Strongly object to this development it will be a accident waiting to happen with a fast moving road with lorries and cars. 1500 houses waiting to be built in such a small rural town. Its terrible to think that their will not be any countryside left in Uttoxeter.

No to new builds.

Surely they could build on brownfield sites.Will the roads all leading into Uttoxeter, sustain the amount of extra vehicles.

My daughter & family (2 children) live there, so I'm concerned. HOWEVER this sort of thing will go on indefinitely, with government riding roughshod over little nimbies like us, until you wake up and realise that England/UK must have a POPULATION policy, with clear measures to encourage people to produce no more than 2 children per couple, and an EFFECTIVE migration policy (no more in than out). Your problem in Uttoxeter is nothing compared with the crazy notions for my area (Tamworth). I disagree with the proposed development

We need housing in the UK. However, not at any cost. Virgin green land has to be kept that way for wildlife and for natural drainage. Uttoxeter's current infrastructure would not be at all suitable for this proposed development and should in my view be vehemently opposed.

There doesn't seem to have been much consideration of the impacts of this proposal other than the creation of houses. Building sustainable communities is a much wider brief than that.

Already a nightmare trying to get out of Blounts Drive at certain times of the day. The infrastructure could not cope with the increase in constant traffic.

Yet another so called- sustainable development, despite the fact that the potential extra traffic increase will generate considerably more vehicle emissions both during and after the development should it go ahead, and which in my opinion would far outweigh any benefit to the present community in terms of health, and will fail to address both economic and environmental sustainability in real terms.

Inadequate road infrastructure to support this development. Stafford road is dangerous enough without a massive addition to traffic volumes.

Where are the jobs for these new residents? Where will their children go to school? How will we get through Uttoxeter in rush hour with all the extra traffic? Why are we building on beautiful green field countryside?

I agree with all comments, live on foxglove avenue and kids are always running into the road don't need any more traffic because a accident will surely happen

our town does not have the infra structure services and facilities to support such a large developement the town will just not cope

uttoxeter as a small market town does not have existing schools doctors and other public services to support this developement our town could not cope with this

An ill thought out development that will put a strain on the local roads and infrastructure. There are no jobs for the new resident in the town build the house near to the job o prevent a continued increase in long distance commuting

Sadly Mike Jones and his family have not been able to make a living from the farm land for a very long time ! Why ? Because most people are only interested in themselves, i.e cheap milk from Tesco ! If you are not happy with the plans, then lobby your local MP and our local authority. It is not down to Mike or the developers to provide new schools, doctors etc. If the local infrastructure struggles to cope, then this is down to the local authority ! Whilst successive governments keep on allowing more and more people to move to the UK, we will need more homes to live in, fact. Perhaps its time we all started to take some personal responsibility for the state our once great nation is now in. Rather than campaigning against good quality homes, just because they may or may not be close to your own back door !

This development will cause terrible implications to the surrounding road network.
