No to the gas station proposal

Fortunately, we successfully widened Spout Springs Road in this area with NO traffic light added, and NO major accidents so far. This will ruin that reality forever! If you look, there there are more than enough places around here to buy gas. Stop by the existing one nearby, next to the vape shop on any most any night and you'll see have more than enough hookers buying smokes and snacks as it is. NO!!!

There’s no reason to put a gas station here. There are plenty of them right near 985 and the major intersection of Spout Springs and Friendship. That’s where they belong, not right in front of a neighborhood with many kids.

Development of this property, especially for a gas station, will have a large, negative impact on the daily life of my family. It will reduce the safety of the neighborhood in which I and my children live, making it so that we cannot be as free to enjoy the common space provided by paying to live in such an area. It will decrease the value of every home in the vicinity due to the added light pollution, noise, and decreased aesthetic of including a gas station at the entrance of a neighborhood. It will have an environmental impact due to the chemical runoff of gas station operations, especially as it is located uphill of a nearby stream that leads directly into the neighborhood and Lake Sterling. There are already multiple gas stations in the area, some even being within walking distance. This is an unnecessary development which only serves to devalue the entire community, commercial and residential alike, and is clearly not the highest and best use for the property regardless of other negative impacts.

I say no to the gas station proposed for the entrance to Sterling on the Lake. This is terribly unsafe for our pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. We have far too many children, dogs, and families actively using our sidewalks near this location. This proposal is completely inappropriate.
