Say NO to the current Saugatuck "Hamlet" plan

This is a town, not a city. Let’s keep it that way instead of selling out to some developer whose only concern is enriching himself.

This project is far too big for Westport. It will ruin the town. we are a small town and want to remain that way, not turning it into Stamford or similar city.

Once again, greedy developers are trying to bully us into accepting high-density projects that will destroy the character of and quality of life in our towns. Enough is enough!!

Absolute insanity. The traffic in this area is already HORRIBLE. I don't know how anyone would won't to live, eat or shop there. I try to avoid at all costs already because it's too dense.

TOO DENSE! TOO TALL! Ignores traffic issues.

Leave saugatuck alone. It's perfect. Keep it that way! Stop messing around with small towns!!!!! Use the money to help the homeless, elderly and children.

A development of this size and scale would be an absolute disaster for Saugatuck where the traffic density is already a nightmare.

No plan to address traffic concerns

Have lived and worked in Westport since 1973! This added development will just continue to destroy the ambiance and charm that our town once had back in the day! There will also be gridlock off exit 17 and Saugatuck Ave. And Bridge street!

As much as I feel Saugatuck is in need of a serious update, I think this project has gotten way too big and will seriously affect traffic and the neighborhood feeling of Saugatuck. We live on Stony Point and are well aware of the traffic concerns already. Something on a smaller scale would be welcome but this has gotten way too large.

I"m always shocked when developers and elected representatives vote for development at the cost of the environmental impact. Heed the recent sad news that Westport air quality is in trouble and all for more shopping and the illusion of progress!! This project means that more out-of- towners will come to Westport causing worst traffic problems (our #1 issue) mostly for out of town day trippers much like what downtown has become. This benefits shop owners (large chains in Westport) and commercial property owners - reduces quality of life for those of us who live here. What are we valuing here?

This area of Westport is charming but already too crowded. There is not enough parking and the proposed development will make the situation a whole lot worse. Bradford Cushman

This plan might be lovely at 50% of the current scale and a greatly improved parking plan.

Why wasn't a scale model required? Due diligence was not through.
