I agree this project will have a negative impact on traffic and the town.

This is absolutely insanity! As a resident on Riverside avenue it is current impossible to get around this part of town ! Traffic on a summer friday can take 40 minutes to travel 1/2 mile on Riverside ! Aside from the hideous development that will ruin our beautiful seaside community .. the ACTUAL construction and congestion leading up to building this make it almost impossible to get around an already overcrowded area !

Much too large. I would like to see models of both the original plan and new plan side by side

Though I'd like to see a re-do of many of the buildings in the area, I can't fathom worse traffic than there already is. Also don't like the density of the buildings as welll as the docks as planned.

Developers are taking advantage of state policy to promote affordable housing with no actual “affordable” housing included. Plans assume of railroad parking owned by the state.

Too much, I am worried about traffic and ecosystem in the area.

We don't need a massive retail center, traffic chaos and more housing density. I didn't buy an expensive house in Westport just to see the town become another Stamford.

I'm all for development but this project is way to big for the area. The increase in traffic has to be taken into account in an already grid-locked area.

Improvement is good; over-development is not. It takes 30 minutes to get from the train station (from the Ferry Ln side) to the first traffic light at rush hour. This development will add to the chaos.

Further eroding the character of this Town for the sake of greedy developers. This is absolutely not needed.

This project is hugely out of wack with the surrounding neighborhood and traffic!

While I like the idea of bringing more shops and dining to Saugatuck, this amount of development will saturate the area with traffic. We live in the Valley Road neighborhood and Greens Farms Road is an important avenue out of the neighborhood. It already is bumper to bumper when 95 is slowed down as drivers get off the highway and cut through Westport using local roads. I can’t imagine getting over the Cribari Bridge and being able to head to Norwalk with this many inhabitants and their cars.

This project is not progress. It is unchecked, over development that will ultimately be understood as a gross error in judgment for the community. Developers are stealthily piecemealing Westport into into an abomination of hodgepodge pockets of grossly out of character development. Where are the sober eyes and planning to balance ambition with the reality of our traffic crisis and a sense of communal character?

Westport has been a small town for almost 200 years. That's why people keep coming here to live. Why are we suddenly trying to turn it into something bigger? Why are some people determined to destroy what has been so lovely for so long?
Develop the area, yes. But on a smaller scale, in keeping with our vibe. And be mindful of our infrastructure.
This project is far too large and unrealistic.

Development of the area would be a positive but the scale of what is proposed is way too large for the area .
