There is already too much traffic and not enough space. Please don't add to the problem.

The scale of the proposed development is too large for the space and location. The traffic situation from the station and highway to Westport is already a disaster. It can take 20 minutes just to get to the bridge some days. Before adding any development Westport needs to fix the current issues. I don’t think having police overruling the traffic lights by the bridge at rush hours is effective, safe or sustainable.

No to this project!! Traffic in and around the train station will make the station not viable for commuters. Ridiculous idea and design. No to this project!

This plan left unchecked will destroy this town. Might as well put a shopping mall on Compo beach, and a casino at long shore. Let's really bring some money to this town. People come here bc it's quaint new England seaside at is best. U really wanna ruin it?

I love the idea of developing the area but concerned about train parking and the height of the buildings.

please follow responsible development, not over development that will significantly alter the culture and vibe of Westport.

I have lived on Greens Farms Road for many years. Traffic near the train station is often a snarl and backs well onto Greens Farms Road -- often to the east of Hillspoint. This project is out of scale for the area and likely to dramatically increase traffic congestion. Beyond this, to the extent that Hamlet parking reduces available railroad parking, the project imposes uncompensated burdens on residents who continue to rely on railroad parking even post-COVID.

The current design is too big for our area and will cause a traffic nightmare. It needs to be scaled down!

I’m all for a more thoughtful use of the space by the train station but I have real concerns about congestion and parking.

Unless there is a drastic enhancement to the width of the roads and bridges, Westport cannot handle such a large community being added.

The density, scale and character of this plan is unsuitable to Westport. It will make a mess of the commute to the train. P&Z should reject and ask for a much reduced plan.

What's the plan for the little old bridge? Saugutuck can't handle anything until the bridge congestion is addressed. The current bandaid is a single traffic cop yelling at cars because nobody sees him directing traffic from the sidewalk... No love for him in the renderings? And the bridge is conveniently left out too...

Taller than the I-95 Overpass? Absurd. The renderings show '1' vehicle and '0' non-white people.

Traffic is already unbearable when commuter trains arrive or I95 is backed up. I95 is backed up several times a day. I’m not opposed to all development, but the proposed Hamlet is grossly out of line with what the area can handle, and would unduly detract from nearby Westport residents’ life.

Saugatuck and Westport needs something, but certainly not this. Retain the cool factor this town has always been known for.

Out of place to big no parking to high

Ridiculous scale of project will have a negative impact on traffic throughout the town and make Saugatuck impossible to navigate.

I assume this design was not created by anyone intending to live and spend time in this area of Westport. It is grotesque, destroys the view and experience of the waterfront, and would create countless problems. Severe congestion in an already congested area, degradation of the environment, and long-term financial drain on our community.
