This project cannot be allowed to proceed with the current proposal

I attended the town meeting totally agree that this project is too big.. I am also concerned with the integrity of the developers based on how they have conducted themselves in this project.

It’s time for us totake back our town since our First Selectwoman isnt doing it. I am sure that a traffic study will stop this crazy project.

This plan is all wrong for Westport in every way. Westport is famous for its charm and natural beauty. This development would destroy what we love about Westport.

Any buildings should be no higher than three stories

Keep the same scale as the ewnovated area about The Whelketc etc. This is a transportation hub with amenities not a large commercial zone

Please do not turn Saugatuck into a superficial city that reminds of what was done to Dubai.

It's too big for Westport. My office is in Saugatuck and the traffic situation is already bad.

I agree heartily with the opinions of the Westport Alliance for Saugatuck on all points. Let us not attempt to make Westport a "destination." Study and keep to the character of this special town.

Make it smaller

Surely, there must be a better option. Currently, rush hour traffic in the area can increase travel times considerably.

Concerned about the latest design as its way too dense and creates more traffic in an area with many existing traffic problems already

The proposed development is far too large for this small waterfront area. The already congested traffic, limited parking, and strain on local infrastructure, particularly given its proximity to one of the busiest highway corridors in the country, make this plan untenable. While we welcome thoughtful development, this proposal would overwhelm the community, causing significant disruptions that outweigh the potential benefits. We need a more balanced and reasonable plan that better addresses the needs of the entire Westport community.

Let us not forget that our town relies on reliable train service and parking so that its citizens can continue to generate valuable income. This is a disgusting over reach by developers that will negatively impact traffic to the area for years to come. I am pro developing this area but the scale of this is a monstrosity

It already takes 20 minutes to get from Saugatuck Shores to bridge street during rush hour. This development will make it much longer. You will effectively be annexing Saugatuck Shores to Norwalk if this proposal goes through.

I am a long time resident of Westport, and have lived for more than 12 years at the Saugatuck Center. What is proposed here is unnecessary and unpleasant. The size and scale of this project far exceeds anything this neighborhood can reasonably support. A sensible project, with a size and scale similar to what the Gault’s did so beautifully with The Saugatuck Center would be far more appropriate and appealing. Saugatuck has to work for the residents of our entire town, and what is proposed is unlikely to work…for anyone.
