This is going to pose a major problem for Westporters commuting into the city. Many people are still hybrid but starting to go back to the office more frequently so need just from current commuters is only going to go up.

Who wants all this development and people in our pretty little town?! Westport is a lovely little secret paradise. Let’s keep it that way by swiftly kicking these greedy developers out of our town!!!!

Fully support a reimagination of this site but the scale is not appropriate and the parking concerns have not been adequately addressed.

The look and scale of the "Hamlet" is so out of alignment with Westport's community, culture and modern New England characteristics. If the project proceeds it will significantly and irreversilby damage the entire Westport community, from Saugatuck to Coleytown. Not one current Westport resident will benefit from the Hamlet, all it will bring is loss of parking, loss of access to the train station, increased traffic, increased noice and light pollution, increased run off into the river, and the list goes on. The biggest problems in Westport are Traffic and lack of Parking, the Hamlet would make these issues completely untenable for all current and future residents and visitors.

It is nearly impossible to find a parking spot at the train station Tuesday through Thursday at present. If parking spaces are taken away, people will not be able to get to work.

Out of scale (too large ) and out of character for Westport.

As a 40-year Westport resident and homeowner, I oppose the scale of the plan as presented . This is the TOWN of Westport and not the CITY of Westport. Development should be thoughtful, proportionate and sustainable without choking off the existing infrastructure, amenities and charm.

Needs to be scaled down, traffic needs to be considered and properly managed, and losing any railroad parking is non-negotiable.

This design is overboard. Darien did it right. A small town needs charming, not Vegas. Anyone for this ridiculous design does not live in Saugatuck. Treadwell is already a traffic jam. Yes Saugatuck needs improvement but not an ugly monstrosity. Adding a venue could potentially bring hundreds of guests if not more just for that one venue, and that does not include the vendors like the caterers, the bands, the AV, the decoration staff, the delivery trucks. Too much. I’m not sure what’s going on with Westport and who is approving these ugly new buildings. I fear someone’s back pockets are being filled or favors being given which is wrong on so many levels. You can improve Saugatuck and make it charming, but the design is manic. Take notes from what Darien did.
Far too big and too dense for the area
