It is so said to see sophisticated, carpetbagging developers preying on naive residents and elected officials. All to lime the pockets of these hucksters. If this happens, we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

I don't believe this development is necessary. I believe it will permanently degrade the quality of life for Westporters.

This does not fit into this neighborhood. It is way too large, cold and commercial.

This will destroy all the charm and small-town vibe of Saugatuck. What an eyesore. Absolutely hideous idea.

Way to big, it’s going to destroy WESTPORT

stop the over building of westport -- too many apartments, huge houses on small properties, etc.

This is an awful idea. These towns are not structured to take in this many people and cars. Traffic is already dismal. Keep the coastal town beauty alive, don’t make westport into Stamford.

I would say NO to the Saugatuck Hamlet plan. While development for Westport is always worthy of consideration, this site, with this volume of increased traffic, so close to a major commuter center, is a problematic idea.

This area is already overburdened with traffic and people as is the case with many areas in Westport. It does not appear this has been thought through re parking, traffic volume etc

I think good well planned development in Saugatuck would be nice; this plan is neither. That area is highly congested today. With the level of occupancy contemplated, it’s would make the area a hazard.

Enough over-development! The traffic density would be too much and we will lose what's left of our small town atmosphere.

P&Z should force developers to adhere to the 2022 proposal only
