Water table issues, transportation issues, the precedent it would set for the county for future endeavors of this kind. No thanks, I like my view just the way it is now.

This is not a farm it is a factory. Agriculture is not something to mix with factories. Where this wants to be built is going to take up the well water from surrounding homes and farms and take advantage of the beautiful country night sky. Not to mention if you’re going to start a business in agriculture then go organic, this lettuce won’t even taste good it’s not natural for vegetables to have a light source 24/7.

Senseny Road in Clarke Co is not built for industrial, commercial or large scale agriculture operations. It's a fairly dangerous road as it is.

I am concerned about the water usage as I live down the road and on a well. Also the light pollution will be obnoxious. If I wanted that kind of sky, I would have moved to the city.
It will also kill my real estate values.

We moved to Clarke County from S. Eastern Va in large part to avoid heavy traffic, industrial growth and the associated pollution and constant resource challenges that unchecked development bring. This facility comes with all the things we moved here to avoid.

The areas surrounding the proposed factory are already far busier due to continued expansion. Adding this factory will only worsen the problem for nearby residents.

Congratulations, Richmond and Beryville VA elected officials! You've managed to protect the legacy of Virginia farming from suburban sprawl and its minivan lifestyle. You forgot to defend, however, against NY Wall Street carpetbaggers, huge ugly buildings, tractor trailer traffic, diesel exhaust, increased power consumption, and taxing or even exhausting limited underground water supplies that others depend upon for their lives and livelihoods. Thank God Clarke County, VA won't look like Loudoun County, VA -- it's going for the Newark NJ look and feel. Strong work bumpkins!!

I am the at least the 5th generation to own Janeville Farm .It was part of the Lord Fairfax Grant Prior to the Revolutionary War . We have a duty to protect and preserve this beautiful area for ecological and historical reasons .

This factory will be responsible for spreading dangerous chemicals into the surrounding ground water, sucking our wells dry, polluting the night sky with constant light, devaluing all property, and endangering children as well as the many bicyclists on Senseny Road.... Oh and factory grown lettuce sounds disgusting!
