This proposal can only merit serious consideration when CBC has commissioned a current and comprehensive survey report on the implications and impact of proposed changes on traffic, pedestrians and residential areas which will be affected. Totally unacceptable that CBC are running this based on an inadequate consultation exercise and faulty traffic modelling figures showing an across the board reduction in traffic numbers. Exactly where do these vehicles go?

Turning Boots Corner into a crossroads for buses and taxis will do nothing to promote the safety of pedestrians. It will also send more cars down Rodney Road increasing the danger. Pedestrianise fully Winchcombe Street and Pittville Street instead!

This CTP is designed for the wrong reasons, completely ignoring residents and conning the innocent into thinking Boots Corner is going to be a communal place for us to throng (we all want to be run over by a bus do we?)

nowhere for traffic to go.. the bus stop causes the congestion and could move to the promenade. Proposal has severe lack of common sense..

This petition has not been thought through. Getting out of Bath Street without the traffic lights is a nightmare. What will happen to the smaller cross Cheltenham roads such as Rodney Road and Winchcombe Street? Stop the one way Bath Road now.
