I understand that something needs to be done, but this has not been thought through properly

While I agree that something should be done about the current situation at the Boots corner, I am very concerned regarding the Rodney Road situation and the changes to Clarence Road, which could cause real danger to the public. Further thought is needed!

For eighteen months the promoters have refused to explain where the traffic goes or the night time volumes diverted through residential streets, or account for the increased danger, this is not a transport plan but an excuse to try and close Boots Corner.

This will be a disaster for St. Paul's resulting in increased traffic, more pollution and fewer direct routes, especially north/south.

The "modelling" has 'disappeared' 50% of the traffic.

The trial along Bath Road already proves how awful this is going to be. Listen to the people of Cheltenham for a change please. The other idiotic thing you've done is the narrowing of the Bath Road outside Sainsburys and the shops - this causes congestion all the way up to the Norwood when it never used to be that bad immediately before the change. Please see reason.

ridiculous scheme. Why fix something that isn't broken. The only conjecture is at its worst around the town hall due, once again to looking after bloody pedestrians. Pedestrian lights are green for far too long which stops vehicle traffic. The other pain in the ass are buses. An empty bus station 300 yards from 1 lane congestion. Well done cbc you useless tossers

This lunacy will be the end of the town, no-one will be able to get in, they'll either shop on line or go elsewhere.

This will create more chaos in and around an already busy transport system. The whole idea is barmy!
