You will destroy the beautiful park , there is no parking to accommodate 37,000 people everyday in Riverdale and finally it will screw up the nature environment of the park during construction

Keep the park a park. raced there so many times for XC and it is such a shame. it's a beautiful park. especially NYC lacks parks this is space people can go to

Destroying our green space for a private, for profit venture is not what NYC park grounds were ever intended for. Look elsewhere for a more appropriate location. Do not destroy our community green space!!

Possible location for cricket stadium I would humbly suggest Randall's Island.
International cricket games are played there.
Maybe stadium can be refurbished and repaired.

I use this park all the time. My son uses the parade grounds for running. This is a public park. The parking impact would exasperate existing limited parking in the area.

The idea of a stadium on the Parade Ground is offensive. The land has historical significance and should not be turned into a construction site. Indigenous Lenape people grew crops on this land. Later it became the Van Cortlandt plantation where enslaved Africans worked and were buried nearby. There may be archeological artifacts that would be destroyed by the construction. A flock of over 1,100 Canada Geese feed on the Parade Ground and they would be displaced. The noise, machinery, and 34,000 people will disturb the other wildlife that live in the park along with negatively affecting important wild bird habitat.

Putting a temporary stadium at VCP is a poorly thought out idea. It will disrupt the community and regular park users. Bringing in water, electric and sewer lines will damage the parade ground. NYC already has better alternative sites.
