Let the managers of the private ticketed event find a piece of privately owned property to host their Cricket World Cup.

A public park is no place for a private, ticketed event. It will have detrimental and long-term impact on the park, which we, nearby residents, depend on to enjoy nature and the health benefits it provides.

This a spectacular gem in the Bronx...it needs to stay as such!

This is our beautiful park, and it's going to be ruined for a year for this? I use it almost every day for bike rides and nature walks. This is a horrible idea. Please, no!

If they think this is the greatest money making idea then try Central Park. Asthma is at its highest rate in the Bronx and that is from destroying trees and the exhaust from highways and vehicles produce a bigger threat. To lose any amount of greenery in the Bronx is taking away from our quality of life!

This is an outrageous money-grubbing proposal by the Mayor to build a cricket stadium in a jewel of a public park in NYC .

It could provide a lot of jobs BUT there isn’t a firm plan on how to restore the park after use. Also birds etc will be displaced

This is public space for the surrounding communities. It should never be commandeered by the City of New York for private profit.

This is an outrageous plan that will bring only destruction and removal of parkland for the public. For shame!

If there were a lasting benefit to those of us who use the park year-round it might be a different conversation. If they would fix the decrepit track and stadium and had permanent improvements then I would be in support of a year’s disruption in the park.

This cannot happen to The Bronx! Having a stadium that large to disrupt the ecology of the neighborhood is despicable and to do so without community input and with no feasibility study is uncommon?! This park is used by every being, (not just humans) and not just from the immediate neighborhood. A structure like this will do more harm than good. Find a different boro or state that would advocate and can accommodate this type of capital project. Otherwise, stay out the Bronx.

If Adams wants the cricket tournament he should use the existing stadium on Randalls Island.
