Poorly though out and planned just look at any major international sport governing body. They have fields and locations set 4 years in advance. And leaving the turf would a permanent eye sore a detriment to the area. Rehab VCP stadium and when they leave make it suitable for sports currently using it.

Having such an event would definitely damage our Parade Ground. The park is for everyone, with this event everyone would not have access to our beautiful park.

There are better spaces in the Bronx and NYC that are better suited for a temp cricket Stadium.

The proposed stadium in Van Cortlandt Park would have a negative affect on the wildlife and people in the area. The Bronx already has negative environmental impacts from the amount of freeways crisscrossing the borough. Now, the City is actively seeking to limit green space for the residents of the Bronx is a further attempt at environmental racism.

This is a public park used by everyone and should definitely stay that way.

The petition thoroughly explains the terrible impact the event will have on the land and the people who use it. Please understand its logic.

Don’t ruin our park. Go to hunts point and build there

Destroying the nesting ground of an endangered species that took hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of years to evolve for a quick cricket game is a terrible idea. You can probably earn more through ecotourism anyway, cricket is not a very popular sport.

I love the park and don’t want anyone to come and destroy it. I want my son and dog to continue enjoying it

Because Van Cortlandt Park should be enjoyed by the community, which includes nature.

Absolutely Bad idea to take away and ruin our park for something that will be a detriment to our neighborhood. Make no mistake, Only the city and the corporations behind this will profit and NOT those who live and work here. I vote NO ,,,,,

Terrible idea, this is a beautiful park that neighborhood residents depend on for fitness and recreation.

Plus, the parking pressure - where will the cars go? And the additional stresses on the adjacent parkland - woods, trails, hills, bodies of water - from the noise, the crowds, and the displaced species.

Please keep the parade grounds as intended- for all of the various sports, schools, community members, animals and nature!
