This site is inappropriate and overly burdensome for the community by taking away their ability to use the park, zero infrastructure, zero loca support capability and capacity and no parking. Taking away for 7 months to ruin it when there are plenty of other appropriate locations is bothersome. Wish the event well but not to be at this location.

Please let’s keep this park green, clean and an open space for neighborhood enjoyment.

City can't even fix all the things in the park that are broken and they want to build a stadium?

The building of this temporary Stadium would be detrimental for Van Cortland park and the community at large for a number of years.

I’m a community cricket player who plays regularly at Van Cortlandt Park, alongside hundreds of other cricketers, and I do not wish to see the fields taken away for an entire league season of cricket for the sake of a one-off international match

Bad idea that will take public green space away from neighborhood folks who want, need, and depend on it.

I wonder if the planners have taken into account the resentment this would cause in the neighborhood and how that resentment might affect their whole endeavor. This is as horrific as if they were going to build it on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Imagine the uproar THAT would cause.

Please don’t build this stadium. This is a wildlife hot spot and just remain this way

Foot and vehicle traffic all around for community.. Park will not be enjoyed for leisure. Crowds these days lead to street violence

No privatization of our public park. The proposed temporary stadium will be an environmental and public-use disaster. At the very least, before this stadium project can be seriously considered, there must be an Environment Impact Statement developed and subjected to public review.

This does not make any sense. This is the space most used in VC Park and will do tremendous damage. The devoted cricket players themselves are against it!

Our Van Cortlandt Park Parade Grounds are well used for track and field, softball, soccer, cricket, exercise classes, yoga, running, biking walking, cricket and more. This resource for the community that is used every day of the year must remain open to the public and continue to serve the needs of the community as it has for many decades.

I love cricket but the negative consequences of erecting a stadium, albeit temporary, in VCP far outweigh the joy of the sport.

Construction will take up more of the field than the stadium. There is almost no parking now - where will all the additional cars park?
