Currently we are unable to drive the speed limit without damaging our vehicles because of a few people who like to walk in the middle of the road and expect vehicles to stop for them. Common sense and looking both ways would be more effective than turning a complete neighbourhood into a parking lot. Speed bumps do not stop speeding...they only inconvenience the rest of us. There will always be speeding as long as there are drivers. Speed bumps for a few complainers is a waste of taxpayer money, makes responsible drivers have to drive as though they are in a parking lot for 10min which should take 5. On a street which often is covered in black ice in colder weather now having large bumps is also irresponsible and frankly pathetic. Try a vote on these matters. Bubblewrapping society never helps.

They don't work! They only slow speeds at the humps. Bad for the environment having to slow down and speed up causing increased fuel consumption. Hard on vehicles, equipment and snow removal. Poorly placed at the bottoms of some of the steepest, longest and most difficult hills to go up in the winter time (no momentum).

I want speed bumps removed and a different option explored in reducing speed on this road.

Causes unnecessary noise and slows the flow of traffic dropping well below the posted speed limit.

These speed bumps are beyond ridiculous, especially 12 of them!!!! We have had the need for an ambulance at our house 4 times in the last three years for our daughter. It feels like a lifetime waiting for the ambulance to come all the way back to our house on Virginia Dr. It's going to be so much worse now. There is so much proof to show emergency vehicles are slowed down by speed bumps despite what our councilor Pam Lovelace thinks. As well, we have witnessed school busses getting stuck in the winter when they turn onto St George Blvd from Virginia Dr. They're going uphill right from the start and now there will be a speed bump right ON the top of the hill. They don't stand a chance now!
I agree something needs to be done but speed bumps are the very worst option!

These are horrible, and decreases the enjoyment of our neighbourhood - the majority are being punished because of the few!

There are other solutions to this, especially since there is evidence that speed tables slow emergency services. Why not put all way stops at intersections or the modified humps that allow emergency vehicles through without having to slowdown.

I live at the end of St George Blvd. The speed bumps will do nothing to stop the speeders flying down my street. I have even seen school busses driving fast down the hill. There's no way to stop the speeding. Why waste tax payers money on something that will not work!

My objection applies to Kingswood Drive as well. At least make them more gradual. Current ones force you to slow to 25. Way too aggressive.

We will see trouble over the next year with snow issues, and someone will be affected by an emergency response time, as well as many drivers and vehicles. all it will take is some time

I am not in favor of speed humps - speed humps adversely affect the residents more than the speeders - the vast majority of speeders on SGB that I have witnessed are non residents - ie, dump trucks, delivery and service vehicles

Excellent alternatives to speed tables. I live and walk on St George and speed is dangerous and needs to change but the speed tables are not the right answer. The city needs a more thoughtful response to this.

Most people are responsible and do not speed, but because a select few are speeding the entire neighbourhood has been peppered with speed humps. These speed humps can slow down emergency vehicles, damage cars, and in situations where there’s snow storms and black ice can be very dangerous all because a small number of people choose to speed, why punish the entire community for a select few of irresponsible people? We struggle to maintain roads that are not breaking down and have pot holes but yet we have a budget for speed humps? Better, more practical solutions should be discussed and assessed. i.e side walks for the main roads in Kingswood.
