I have lived on Kingswood Drive for 22 years and feel speed bumps have ruined the neighborhood. We don’t need more regulation. How about using the speed bump budget for fixing the roads and putting sidewalks in instead?

Don’t put in the speed mountains, will add 5 minutes each way if you are in the very back, that makes it harder on people who are older and at risk of needing emergency services

We already drive extra mileage to avoid speed bumps on Kingswood and Terradore Streets, now we may have to drive further out of our way by taking Voyager Dr.
We recieved a notice from HRM that the speed bumps were coming, but by the time we found out about them our elected official informs us that the contract has been awarded and its too late to stop them. I feel that this indicates a lack of transparency and consultation. Or worse, a paternalistic imposition of a traffic calming measure against residents' wishes applied for our own good.
Problematic drivers may still accelerate briskly to high speed between speed bumps, doing little to enhance road safety.

Speed Humps do not work !! I cut across Viscount drive 6 times this weekend on my way to Weir field…. I watched opposing traffic fly right over them, & another crawl up my Ass cause they were flying over them.

The environmental cost of increased emissions (due to accelerating and decelerating) plus unnecessary wear and tear to vehicles needs to be considered. Responsible stewardship needs to start at home. The health risk not only affects our community but the larger community. It also increases noise pollution.
This road has adequate shoulders to ensure safe use for walkers and bikers.
The residents were not given a voice. This is a dead end street. The only people using this street are residents or their guests. Speed tables/bumps discourage people from cutting through neighbourhoods but that is not the case here. This is a dead end street. They do not address dangerous driving which is a greater risk in terms of injury and death. The injury and death in residential areas is very low. These traffic calming measures are not welcome and the money should be spend elsewhere to make our city safer.

Lived here for 25 years. Live on the backside of St George. This will definitely impact my life and concerns me with the slow downed response time of emergency vehicles. There should be stop signs or some other means of controlling traffic.

No Thank you, not only does it not make a difference in slowing vehicles down, it’s wear and tear on the vehicles, icy hilly roads to add bumps will cause challenges

St George Blvd is my only way in and out of the community and will directly impact my daily commute, wear and tear on my vehicle, as well as community safety for delayed emergency response times.

I am opposed to speed bumps for many reasons. I drive on St. George to avoid Kingswood Dv for this reason. Speed bumps on St. George just mean I will go down Voyageur.
This is ridiculous!!!!
