Light rail in the Twin Cities is very expensive, very inflexible, and there are better options. The population density of the SWLRT corridor can not support the success of the light rail. Light Rail transportation is the SECOND deadliest form of transportation after motorcycles. The Twin Cities already has an award-winning bus system in place that is flexible, can take people closer to their destinations faster than LRTand can run in snow and ice. We, the undersigned, do not want unprofitable light rail transit to mar our cities and hometowns with tangles of overhead wires and unsightly tracks and fences, nor do we want ourselves and generations to come to have to pay for this boondoggle.
